Xuan Le
Xuan is a Ph.D. candidate at Central Clinical School, Monash University. Her research interests lie in the intersection of several advanced technologies such as microfluidic, molecular diagnostic assay, and infectious diseases. Currently, she is under the supervision of Prof. Patrick Kwan and Dr. Tuncay Alan. Her research project focuses on developing Point-of-care (POC) diagnostics devices based on isothermal amplification assay for COVID-19 detection.
Xuan graduated from International University – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh (HCM-IU), with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering (BME). During her study, she was involved in several research projects, including student projects, an undergraduate thesis, and a research internship at 3B’s Research Group (Portugal). From that, she gained research experience in biomaterials, microfabrication, and molecular biology. Also, she worked as a teaching assistant for several courses such as Biology laboratory, Tissue Engineering I, and Principle of Clinical Test and Instrumentation.
